CHINA TELECOM Reports 2025 Financial Results with Attributable Profit of 33.185 Billion Yuan

CHINA TELECOM (00728) announced its financial results for the year 2025. The company's operating revenue reached 5,296 billion yuan, with service revenue amounting to 4,854 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 0.7%. EBITDA was 1,439 billion yuan, up 2.1% compared to the previous year. Profit attributable to equity holders totaled 33.185 billion yuan, a growth of 0.5% over 2024. Basic earnings per share were 0.36 yuan, and a final dividend of 0.0908 yuan per share (tax inclusive) was declared. Capital expenditures for the year were 80.4 billion yuan, while free cash flow reached 44.7 billion yuan.

The company continues to advance its dual-engine growth strategy, driven by innovation and the integrated development of its foundational and industrial digitalization businesses. In 2025, revenue from foundational services reached 330.5 billion yuan, up 0.7% year-on-year. Mobile subscribers totaled 439 million, with 5G network user penetration reaching 68.8%. Broadband subscribers reached 201 million, and gigabit user penetration stood at 31.6%.

Revenue from the industrial digitalization business amounted to 147.3 billion yuan, increasing by 0.5% year-on-year. Within this segment, resource-based revenue reached 63 billion yuan, up 1.1%. Strategic emerging businesses maintained robust growth. Tianyi Cloud revenue reached 120.7 billion yuan, with its public cloud IaaS market share rising to second place domestically, and its combined IaaS+PaaS market share ranking among the top three in China. AIDC revenue reached 34.5 billion yuan, security revenue was 16.6 billion yuan, and intelligent solutions revenue totaled 12.3 billion yuan. Video network revenue grew by 31.2% year-on-year, quantum-related revenue increased by 65.4%, and satellite revenue rose by 30.7%.
