Element Solutions Inc. (ESI) stock surged 5.39% in after-hours trading Monday after the specialty chemicals company reported second-quarter results that handily exceeded Wall Street expectations.
The company posted adjusted earnings of $0.47 per share, topping the consensus estimate of $0.43, while revenue climbed 56% year-over-year to $977.9 million, well above the $871.6 million analysts had forecast. The strong performance was driven by a 75% jump in electronics segment sales, reflecting both organic growth and contributions from recent acquisitions.
