SC repurchases 795,000 shares on 20 May 2026; cumulative buy-back spend reaches US$1.06 billion

Standard Chartered PLC (SC) disclosed that it acquired 795,000 ordinary shares on 20 May 2026 under the share buy-back programme announced on 24 February 2026. The volume-weighted average purchase price was 1,902.55 pence per share, within a daily trading range of 1,873.50 pence to 1,935.00 pence.

By venue, 477,000 shares were bought on the London Stock Exchange at a volume-weighted average of 1,902.40 pence, 159,000 shares on CBOE BXE at 1,902.77 pence, and another 159,000 shares on CBOE CXE at 1,902.81 pence.

SC has now deployed US$1.06 billion on repurchases since the programme began. All shares bought under the latest transaction will be cancelled, reducing the issued share capital to 2,206,908,161 ordinary shares and establishing the same number of voting rights.

The buy-back continues to be executed by J.P. Morgan Securities plc within pre-set parameters and in accordance with applicable UK regulations.
