CCTC (06951) shares surged more than 5% in Hong Kong trading, with the stock up 4.82% at HK$108.8 as of press time, on a trading volume of HK$280 million.
The gains come after CCTC was officially added to the Hong Kong Stock Connect list on August 6. Additionally, the company previously forecasted a net profit of RMB 1.794 billion to RMB 2.041 billion for the first half of 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 45% to 65%.
CCTC attributed the strong performance to growing customer recognition of its MLCC products, noting that prices for some specifications have recovered to their original reasonable value. Sales volume and revenue have both seen substantial year-on-year growth.
The supply shortage for MLCC products is continuing to intensify. Samsung Electro-Mechanics has issued a notice saying that from August 1, MLCC product shipment prices will be uniformly raised by 30% above current levels. Meanwhile, Taiyo Yuden has also sent price hike notices to customers, effective September 1, and warned that even if customers accept the higher prices, it may not be able to guarantee timely delivery.
