Meitu Inc (HK: 01357) saw its share price jump more than 11% during the morning trading session, reaching HK$4.98 at the time of writing, representing an 11.53% increase with a trading turnover of HK$469 million.
The surge follows the company's release of its interim results, which showed first-half revenue of RMB 2.21 billion, up 22.1% year-on-year. Adjusted net profit attributable to equity holders of the parent company reached RMB 650 million, marking a 39.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
As the primary revenue driver for Meitu Inc, the imaging and design products segment generated RMB 1.77 billion in revenue during the first half of 2026, reflecting a 30.9% year-on-year growth and accounting for approximately 80% of total revenue. Notably, the company's global base of paying subscribers has officially surpassed 18.44 million.
Among these subscribers, new overseas paying users are primarily concentrated in high-ARPPU regions such as East Asia, Latin America, and Europe, with the growth rate of overseas paying users being roughly twice that of mainland China. Furthermore, the monthly active users of Meitu Inc's productivity applications outside mainland China have grown more than 80% year-on-year, with annual recurring revenue (ARR) reaching approximately RMB 620 million, while the ARPPU for these productivity tools exceeds that of lifestyle-oriented applications by around 50%.
