Parker Hannifin shares surged 9.73% in early trading on Thursday, driven by the company's fiscal 2026 fourth-quarter earnings report that substantially exceeded Wall Street expectations and optimistic forward guidance for fiscal 2027.

The motion and control technologies manufacturer reported adjusted earnings per share of $9.27, a 20.55% increase from the prior year and well above the analyst consensus of $8.27. Quarterly revenue rose 9.77% to $5.755 billion, also beating the $5.572 billion estimate. The strong performance was fueled by an 8.0% rise in organic sales and a 110-basis-point expansion in adjusted segment operating margins to 28.0%, with double-digit growth in the aerospace systems segment and a broadening recovery in industrial markets.

Looking ahead, Parker Hannifin issued fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings guidance of $34.25 to $35.25 per share, surpassing the FactSet consensus of $34.05. The company also forecasted reported and organic sales growth of 5.5% to 8.5%, supported by a record backlog of $12.8 billion and positive momentum across all market verticals. CEO Jenny Parmentier noted that fiscal 2027 is expected to be a record year, further boosting investor confidence.
