Another leading anode material enterprise in Guizhou has reported positive news: Guizhou Kaijin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has achieved a strong start in 2026. According to an official release from "Dalong Development Zone," since the beginning of 2026, Guizhou Kaijin has capitalized on favorable momentum, experiencing full order books and thriving production and sales. Its production lines are operating at full capacity with high efficiency, with all staff diligently working to fulfill orders.

It was noted that another Guizhou-based anode enterprise, Huiyang New Energy, is also in a state of "full order books, efficient operation, and全力 fulfilling orders," with an expected annual shipment target of 40,000 tons and sales revenue reaching 800 million yuan for the year. The positive news from Guizhou Kaijin further validates that the lithium battery anode market is currently experiencing a comprehensive recovery, and 2026 may see overall high or full production levels.

According to a relevant person in charge at Guizhou Kaijin, the company is currently operating at full throttle to release production capacity. From January to February this year, it has already achieved an output value of nearly 600 million yuan, marking a year-on-year growth and a strong start, laying a solid foundation for striving towards the annual output value target of 5 billion yuan in 2026.

Guizhou Kaijin was established in October 2021 and is a controlling subsidiary of Guangdong Kaijin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Kaijin New Energy), the latter being a well-known leading anode enterprise that maintains deep cooperation with top-tier companies such as CATL. Data from Starting Point Research Institute (SPIR) shows that among the TOP 10 Chinese lithium battery anode material shipment enterprises in 2025, Kaijin New Energy ranked fifth in the industry, following BTR, Shanshan, Zhongke Xingcheng, and Shangtai Technology.

As one of the main production bases for Kaijin New Energy, Guizhou Kaijin has rapidly advanced project construction since its establishment, having built a 100,000-ton integrated production line and successfully跻身 among the top 100 private enterprises in Guizhou Province. In terms of output value, Guizhou Kaijin achieved an跨越式 growth of over 200% within two years: the enterprise's output value was 1.3 billion yuan in 2023, reached 1.91 billion yuan in 2024, and climbed to nearly 4 billion yuan in 2025.

Currently, Guizhou Kaijin is simultaneously expanding its production capacity. The second-phase project for an annual production of 50,000 tons of graphite integration is accelerating site leveling construction and is expected to commence construction by the end of March, with phased production anticipated around August. Upon completion and operation, the project is expected to create employment for 200-300 people.

Observations indicate that since the second half of 2025, Kaijin New Energy has made continuous strategic moves, laying the groundwork for its rapid development in 2026. On the customer front, in October 2025, it signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CATL in Dongguan. Both parties will integrate their advantageous resources to engage in deep cooperation in areas such as green supply chain construction and zero-carbon park development. This signifies the continued deepening of cooperation between Kaijin New Energy and its major customers, with its development trend shifting from traditional单一 production and delivery towards building a comprehensive value chain encompassing green, sustainable, and full-lifecycle aspects.

Regarding production capacity, in September 2025, Kaijin New Energy planned to sign an agreement in Gutian County, Ningde, with an expected investment of approximately 5 billion yuan to construct a project for the annual production of 200,000 tons of lithium battery anode materials. The project is currently underway and is scheduled for completion and operation in June 2026. In February of this year, Kaijin New Energy signed another agreement with Gui'an New Area, where both parties will jointly build an integrated project for the annual production of 200,000 tons of lithium battery anode materials. Additionally, Kaijin New Energy's "Kaijin Annual 200,000-ton High-performance Lithium-ion Battery Anode Material Project" located in Yancheng is also under construction. The project is planned to be constructed in three phases, with the first phase having completed调试 and具备 trial production conditions, the second phase being actively promoted, and the integrated production line scheduled for full operation by the end of 2027. Upon completion, the annual production capacity will reach 200,000 tons.

Thus, Kaijin New Energy's distributed production capacity footprint has further expanded, covering locations including Dongguan, Guangdong (headquarters + base); Tongren Dalong, Guizhou; Gui'an New Area, Guizhou; Yancheng, Jiangsu; Huzhou, Zhejiang; Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia; Xining, Qinghai; and others.

According to research and forecasts by Starting Point Research Institute (SPIR), driven by the continuous growth of the power and energy storage markets, the anode material industry is expected to maintain rapid growth over the next five years: global lithium battery anode material shipments reached 2.723 million tons in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 48%; it is projected that global shipments will increase to 7.441 million tons by 2030.

In terms of price trends, the industry anticipates that 2026-2027 will enter an upward price cycle for lithium battery anode materials. The core driving factors mainly include: 1. A rebound in upstream raw material prices, with prices of oil-based/coal-based needle coke, petroleum coke, and other raw materials gradually recovering. 2. Domestic policies guiding the healthy development of the lithium battery industry, addressing industry "involution," and curbing malicious low-price competition. 3. Strong willingness among leading enterprises to raise prices, driving the overall price of anode materials upward. 4. Following multiple rounds of price wars, small and medium-sized enterprises in the industry continue to incur losses, new capacity supply is limited, orders are accelerating their concentration towards leading enterprises, and industry supply and demand are gradually shifting towards a tight balance.
