Shanghai Electric Announces Vice President Xiao Weihua’s Resignation, Board Confirms Operational Continuity

Shanghai Electric Group Company Limited disclosed that Vice President Xiao Weihua resigned effective 30 June 2026, three years ahead of his scheduled term end on 25 January 2029.

The Board approved the departure during its seventh meeting of the sixth session, citing “work reassignment” as the sole reason. Xiao will not retain any role within the company or its controlled subsidiaries, and he has no outstanding public commitments regarding shareholdings or other obligations.

Management stated that Xiao’s resignation will not affect normal production and operations. The former vice president affirmed there were no disagreements with the Board, and no additional matters require shareholder attention.

The Board expressed formal appreciation for Xiao’s contributions during his tenure. Following the announcement, executive directors remain Dr. Wu Lei, Zhu Zhaokai and Wang Chenhao; non-executive directors are Zhu Yun, Zhu Jiaqi and Cao Qingwei; independent non-executive directors are Dr. Liu Yunhong, Dr. Du Zhaohui and Dr. Chen Xinyuan. Hu Xupeng continues as Joint Company Secretary.
