EV stocks tumbled in premarket trading; XPeng Inc. crashed over 11% while Li Auto and NIO Inc. slipped over 6%.

NIO is recalling a total of 997 ET5 electric vehicles manufactured between September 7, 2022, and October 10, 2022, according to an announcement on the website of China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR).

    If you have stayed long enough to watch the EV market, prices are always moving in circles. Not a good way to invest in the stock market. Better to bank on steady plays like Ford (F) and General Motors (GM) which are also into EVs. Ford broke $12 yesterday and has performed steadily upwards from below 10. GM has stayed in the 30ish and closed at $35 yeaterday. Its one year target is $48.
