Investor Focus Shifts to SpaceX Listing, Tesla's Stock Price Declines

Deep News06-13 00:30

Friday saw Tesla's stock price drop by approximately 2%, as capital and investor attention fully shifted towards the market performance of SpaceX's public listing.

This aerospace conglomerate under Musk's leadership has seen its market valuation surpass $2 trillion, exceeding the size of his automotive company, Tesla; Tesla's total market capitalization stood at around $1.2 trillion in early Friday trading.

An updated IPO prospectus filed by SpaceX disclosed that the company may undertake a large-scale equity issuance to fund future merger and acquisition activities. This news has once again sparked market speculation about a potential merger between SpaceX and Tesla.

Prior to xAI's acquisition by SpaceX, Tesla had invested $2 billion in it. This stake also makes Tesla one of the shareholders in SpaceX.
