"We have enhanced the Baiyin furnace's bath smelting capability for low-grade and complex materials that are difficult to process, further increasing production capacity and resource utilization. Currently, we have a production capacity scale of 200,000 tons, and the smelting technology has reached world-leading levels," said Li Kangjian, Director of the Project Department at Baiyin Nonferrous Group Co.,Ltd.'s copper company.

Similarly benefiting, Baiyin Nonferrous Group Co.,Ltd.'s Changtong Wire and Cable Company has successfully entered the international market with its ultra-fine electromagnetic wire project, which has an annual output of 12,000 tons and an output value of 1 billion yuan.
"We have developed nearly a thousand products covering the full series of temperature resistance grades for wire diameters ranging from 0.012 mm to 0.600 mm. These are widely used in high-end applications such as aerospace and semiconductor packaging and are exported to Japan, South Korea, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and other countries and regions," said Wu Shilong, Director of the Fine Electromagnetic Wire Workshop at Baiyin Nonferrous Group Co.,Ltd.'s Changtong Wire and Cable Co., Ltd. He added that this project has significantly boosted the export value of the city's non-ferrous metal products.

The annual 200,000-ton high-conductivity new materials project by Baiyin Nonferrous Group Co.,Ltd.'s Northwest Copper Company is a key project for implementing the "14th Five-Year Plan," optimizing the industrial structure, and extending the copper industry chain. It is also a crucial support for Baiyin City in promoting industrial quality improvement and upgrading. This project requires nearly 250 acres of land and needs to be located near upstream copper smelters to reduce logistics costs, making land supply a critical challenge for its implementation.
"The municipal government sent specialists to proactively engage with us, assisting throughout the entire process, including land acquisition, planning site selection, and land use approval applications. At the same time, they opened a green channel for approvals, implemented parallel approval processes, significantly shortening the approval timeline and promoting the project's early landing, construction, and operation," said Li Jiahe, Director of the Project Planning Department at Baiyin Nonferrous Group Co.,Ltd.'s Northwest Copper Company.
Major project construction serves as the "ballast stone" for economic development. Baiyin City has improved its "red-yellow-blue" early warning mechanism, making every effort to secure essential factors and resolve difficulties, thereby accelerating and enhancing project construction efficiency.
Recently, at the construction site of the Liuchuan Tunnel for Contract Section 5 of the S35 Jingli Expressway project (Jingtai to Jingyuan section), machinery roared, vehicles shuttled, and workers collaborated diligently with high morale. As a central southern main channel of Gansu Province's "Three New Expressway Channels," the S35 Jingli Expressway (Jingtai to Jingyuan section) will, upon completion, improve the regional transportation network and inject strong momentum into local economic development.
"The Baiyin City transportation department provided proactive services, fully resolving preliminary challenges such as land use approvals and land acquisition and demolition for the project," said Zhou Shuxian, Deputy Manager of the Project Management Department for Contract Section 5 of the S35 Jingli Expressway (Jingtai to Jingyuan section). He stated that they would closely monitor nodal targets, organize construction scientifically, strictly adhere to safety and quality standards, and go all out to accelerate construction progress, striving to achieve the goal of opening to traffic as soon as possible.
