YANCOAL AUS (03668) announced its operational results for the first quarter of 2026. On a 100% basis, raw coal production reached 15 million tonnes. Saleable coal production was 11.9 million tonnes. The company's share of saleable coal production amounted to 9 million tonnes. Its share of coal sales volume was 8.2 million tonnes. The overall average coal sales price for the first quarter of 2026 was AUD 146 per tonne. Within this, the sales price for thermal coal decreased by 3% compared to the fourth quarter of 2025, while the sales price for metallurgical coal increased by 5%. The operational guidance for 2026 remains unchanged. The company's share of saleable coal production is forecast to be between 36.5 million and 40.5 million tonnes. Current operations are normal, and the guidance is maintained. Cash operating costs are projected to be in the range of AUD 90 to AUD 98 per tonne. Preliminary group forecasts indicate that rising diesel prices may push 2026 costs towards the upper end of this guidance range. The share of capital expenditure is budgeted at AUD 750 million to AUD 900 million. The current budget and schedule for reinvestment remain unchanged.
