On November 3, a Western Land-Sea Corridor rail-sea intermodal train loaded with 56 TEUs of auto parts departed from Liuzhou Railway Port in Guangxi, bound for Malaysia via Qinzhou Port. This marks the official inclusion of Liuzhou Railway Port into Beibu Gulf Port Co.,Ltd.'s inland port system, significantly expanding the coverage of the Western Land-Sea Corridor rail-sea intermodal services.
In May 2022, Liuzhou-made new energy vehicle components were first exported to Jakarta, Indonesia via this corridor, creating a "fast track" for Guangxi-manufactured goods to reach global markets. To meet the growing export demand for auto parts from Liuzhou, China Railway Nanning Group has optimized transport operations by launching scheduled weekly freight services, laying the groundwork for efficient "train-ship" connectivity.
In the first 10 months of this year, the Liuzhou-Qinzhou auto parts rail-sea intermodal service handled 8,424 TEUs.
