Mao Zhenhua, founder and chairman of China Chengxin Group, professor at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Hong Kong, and co-director of the Economic Research Institute at Renmin University of China, stated at the 2025 China Corporate Sustainable Development Action Conference that China's new energy system has achieved tremendous technological progress, making the country the global leader in new energy technology. China has made significant achievements in the low-carbon direction, carving out its own path to solve energy problems and providing new solutions for the world.

"In this regard, we have forged our own path from concepts to actions, from industry to finance," he pointed out. ESG investment has now become deeply ingrained and widely adopted as a standard in the investment community. Current regulations require listed companies in capital markets to disclose ESG information, and numerous financial products and indices focus on and track the progress of enterprises and listed companies in ESG initiatives.

He believes this demonstrates that China has carved out its own path in this field, marking an important sign of China leading the world. Under the current global transformation, China's practices in this area have opened new fields and provided new solutions for China in the new round of global competition and cooperation.
