TKO Group Holdings has announced a successful debut of its dual-event strategy in the Middle East and surrounding regions, with both the WWE Night of Champions and UFC Fight Night taking place on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Baku, Azerbaijan, respectively.
The WWE Night of Champions, held at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, drew a full-capacity crowd of over 18,000 spectators. The event generated 186.8 million video views across WWE's primary social media channels, with content related to Sami Zayn winning the WWE championship contributing 74.2 million of those views.
On the same day, UFC returned to Azerbaijan with UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, attracting an audience of over 10,500. Approximately 40% of tickets were purchased by international fans from 72 different countries and regions. The event drove over 612.9 million impressions and 297.3 million video views across UFC's social media platforms. The night concluded with local star Rafael Fiziev securing a victory over Manuel Torres via second-round TKO in the lightweight main event.
TKO Group Holdings CFO Andrew Schleimer stated that demand for premium sports entertainment remains robust in the Middle East and neighboring markets. He noted that this dual-event achievement, coming just two weeks after the record-breaking success of UFC Freedom 250, underscores the company's near-term and long-term business strength and its continued commitment to delivering live events in the region as planned.
Previously, during a May earnings call, TKO Group Holdings President and COO Mark Shapiro reaffirmed the company's position, noting that despite a challenging environment—including the backdrop of the Saudi Public Investment Fund withdrawing support from LIV Golf—the firm's regional partners have confirmed their commitments for 2026 and beyond. He described these simultaneous events as a historic dual-event showcase for TKO, emphasizing that the demand is genuine, the partners are steadfast, and the company is ramping up its investments.
The successful execution of these two major events also reflects TKO Group Holdings' strategy of expanding its live event footprint into more international markets through collaborations with various governments and private sector entities. This approach aims to reach broader fan bases while generating significant economic and cultural impact for the host communities.
