Stock Track | Critical Metals Soars 15.16% on Speculation Over U.S. Greenland Acquisition

Stock Track01-07

CRITICAL METALS CORPORATION (CRML) surged 15.16% intraday on Tuesday, with gains extending into overnight trading, driven by rising speculation about the U.S. potentially acquiring Greenland.

The speculation stems from reports that the Trump administration is considering purchasing the resource-rich island from Denmark. Greenland hosts CRML's Tanbreez rare earths project, which stands to benefit significantly from U.S. ownership, given Washington's focus on securing critical mineral supplies outside China.

CRML is central to U.S. plans to build a rare earths supply chain, as rare earths are vital for industries ranging from electronics to defense. The company recently stated it expects to finalize offtake agreements for Tanbreez by early 2026 and is open to U.S. investment.
