TVB announced its financial results for the 2025 fiscal year. The group recorded revenue of HK$3.192 billion, a decrease of 2.02% compared to the previous year. Profit attributable to shareholders was HK$59.3 million, a turnaround from a loss of HK$491 million in the same period last year. Earnings per share stood at HK$0.13.
Despite the continued weakness in the Hong Kong advertising market, revenue from advertisers on the group's terrestrial television channels increased by 15% in 2025 compared to 2024. This growth was primarily driven by strong advertising demand from major corporate clients. Additionally, the "B-roll" television advertising product launched for the Greater Bay Area market, following the group's reclamation of advertising rights for the Guangdong Channel from its distribution partner in 2024, saw its revenue contribution grow threefold. These factors contributed to a 9% revenue increase for the group's television broadcasting business in 2025.
