Palantir Maintains Usage of Claude AI Model Amid Pentagon Concerns

Deep News03-12 22:31

Palantir Technologies Inc. CEO Alex Karp stated on Thursday that the company continues to utilize the Claude artificial intelligence model, despite ongoing tensions between AI startup Anthropic and the U.S. Department of Defense. Karp informed CNBC's Seema Mody during Palantir's AIPcon 9 event in Maryland, "The Department of Defense plans to phase out Anthropic; however, it has not done so yet. Our products are integrated with Anthropic, and in the future, they will likely integrate with other large language models." This statement follows recent reports that the Pentagon officially identified Anthropic as a supply chain risk last week but continues to use the Claude model, even as it supports Iran-related conflict operations.
