However, today, most investors are focused on putting together a list of cryptos to sell.After all, we’re in the midst of a bear market in crypto assets. And this bear market could get much worse.This “crypto winter,” as many in the community call this bear market, has been vicious. The total market capitalization of all digital currencies has dropped to around $920 million at the time of writing.Previously, this sector peaked at around $3 trillion nearly one year ago.For those looking to upgrade their portfolio in terms of quality, here are five cryptos to sell right now.Shiba Inu (SHIB-USD)One of the hottest trending cryptos of last year, Shiba Inu(SHIB-USD) is a token many may be well aware of. This token surged millions of percent in a matter of months during 2021, making investors who put up relatively small amounts of money very rich in a short amount of time.As it is with these get-rich-quick schemes, what goes up often comes down just as fast. This certainly appears to be the case for Shiba Inu, which has lost more than 90% of its value from its peak last year.Like other meme tokens on this list, there’s really not a lot under the hood when looking at Shiba Inu. This is a token that appears more gimmicky than substantial. With little in the way of fundamentals to value this token, it’s unclear just how low SHIB can go.The selling may be far from over in the crypto market. Accordingly, for those looking to protect capital, this is one of the cryptos to sell right now.ApeCoin (APE-USD)Another meme token many have watched closely this year is ApeCoin(APE-USD). This meme token is one of the newest of the bunch, having been launched in March of this year.Since its launch at $1 per token, APE then soared to nearly $40 in short order. Much of this has to do with the crypto’s ties to the Bored Ape Yacht Club, makers of popular NFTs which remain very highly valued (though less so than at their peak).Today, this token still hovers above the $5 level, an impressive feat for early investors. This token has still managed to provide 400% returns for early investors. Thus, it’s one many may say is among the more stable meme tokens out there.Perhaps. That said, NFT demand in terms of volume and transaction size isn’t looking as healthy as they once were. As less capital flows to more speculative assets, I think the NFT space is one investors need to be careful of.Maybe there’s something behind ApeCoin that’s worth a long-term bet for investors who don’t mind near-term volatility. For everyone else, this is one of the cryptos to sell, at least in my books.The Sandbox (SAND-USD)There are certainly reasons why many investors continue to be bullish on The Sandbox(SAND-USD). Indeed, I’ve touted the potential benefit of this token for aggressive investors in the past.However, this metaverse-related crypto project is one that’s become divisive. That’s because there’s a growing debate around the real utility generated by these blockchain-based virtual worlds.This crypto has been dropping despite making serious efforts to boost its value. The Sandbox recently announced a partnership with football star Kun Aguero.It plans to launch the Kuniverse in the first week of November, but that hasn’t helped its price, with SAND continuing lower, and question of how low this token can go taking center stage. Right now, I don’t think this is a token that’s worth the risk in this market.Dogecoin (DOGE-USD)Yet another meme token on this list, Dogecoin(DOGE-USD) is perhaps the father of them all.A token inspired by a Shiba Inu dog (which has clearly inspired future iterations of this in the form of Shiba Inu and others), Dogecoin’s rise to fame has largely been associated with the token’s self-proclaimed “Dogefather,” Elon Musk.Cryptic tweets from Elon Musk isn’t necessarily the fundamental catalyst many investors are looking for. Thus, in the eyes of many investors, this is clearly one of the top cryptos to sell. I happen to broadly share this view.The project’s founders previously cashed out a long time ago, citing speculative rises that didn’t make sense then. If they didn’t make sense before, they probably didn’t make sense last year. Thus, this is a token with a floor that many can’t see right now. That’s a scary thing.Bitcoin Cash (BCH)Rounding out our list of cryptos to sell is Bitcoin Cash(BCH-USD).This token is the direct result of a hard fork in the Bitcoin(BTC-USD) blockchain. Thus, as one of the oldest fork-related chains out there, Bitcoin Cash is a token that many have watched for some time.The utility this project creates is centered on using Bitcoin for actual transactions in the real world, with business adoption being a key metric to watch.Recently, BCH has been witnessing outflows mostly tied to ongoing macro concerns and the broader market selloff. However, should Bitcoin continue to remain dominant, it’s unclear just how much value will be reflected in Bitcoin Cash, particularly if this gap widens.For these reasons, this token is one I think remains one of the cryptos to sell for investors looking to de-risk their portfolios right
