Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Reveals 73 Selected Smart Photovoltaic Model Projects

Deep News06-19

On June 18th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) published a list of model cases for smart photovoltaic applications. The list includes a total of 73 selected projects covering various applications such as building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), distributed photovoltaic systems, and photovoltaic curtain walls.

The selection process stems from a notice issued jointly by five ministries, including MIIT, on December 19th, 2025, which called for submissions of exemplary smart photovoltaic projects. These model cases are defined as projects that utilize smart photovoltaic products and integrate next-generation information technologies like 5G communications, big data, the Internet, and artificial intelligence to provide intelligent photovoltaic services to users.

The official document encourages government departments at all levels and various sectors of society to enhance support for these model initiatives. This support should encompass multiple aspects including policy, standards, project development, and resource allocation to facilitate the construction and broader adoption of these exemplary projects.

Details of the Smart Photovoltaic Model Case List Announcement

This announcement and selection are implemented in accordance with the "Smart Photovoltaic Industry Innovation and Development Action Plan (2021-2025)" and the relevant requirements of the joint notice from several ministries calling for model case submissions. The final list was determined through recommendations by provincial-level departments and expert review processes.

The list is now open for public scrutiny. Any objections must be submitted in written form. The public notice period runs from June 18th to June 25th, 2026. The contact unit for this matter is the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
