According to discount e-commerce platform Vipshop, its Double 11 special sale carnival's most price-competitive event, the annual Blockbuster Extravaganza, officially launched at 8 PM on October 30.
A Vipshop representative explained that the Double 11 annual Blockbuster Extravaganza went on sale at 8 PM on October 30, running for 110 consecutive hours until 10 AM on November 4. A "Limited Blockbuster" campaign was also launched simultaneously, offering tens of thousands of popular big-brand items at up to 20% off their regular prices. Additionally, the value-focused "48-Hour Flash Sale" returned, with many top-selling products hitting their lowest prices of the year. A Super Instant Discount was also introduced, providing further reductions on top of the promotional prices. The Super V Exclusive Sale also opened alongside the Blockbuster Extravaganza, offering limited low-price bestsellers exclusively for Super VIP users. In terms of discount rules, blockbuster items require only a single purchase to enjoy the maximum discount, with no need to bundle orders.
During the annual Blockbuster Extravaganza, bestsellers in beauty and skincare, sports and outdoor, autumn and winter apparel, home and appliances, and nutrition and health have reached annual low prices. In beauty, for example, many flagship products hit their lowest prices of the year, such as Helena Rubinstein's Black Bandage Cream 100ml, which with numerous free gifts is priced more than 1,500 yuan below market price. In nutrition and health, many top-selling items such as By-Health's small molecule peptide fish collagen essence powder dropped to around 50% of market price. Sports and outdoor was also a key focus for Double 11 shoppers, with jackets, down sportswear, and athletic shoes from well-known brands including Anta, FILA, Skechers, and Camel all reaching their lowest prices of the year.
As the Double 11 special sale carnival's annual Blockbuster Extravaganza kicks off, Vipshop will simultaneously distribute government consumption vouchers covering categories such as fashion apparel, beauty and skincare, and sports and outdoor. The vouchers can be stacked on top of the platform's promotional discounts, offering an additional 10% or 5% off, with a maximum reduction of 1,000 yuan per voucher. It is understood that after the annual Blockbuster Extravaganza, a themed rotation period will run from November 4 to November 10; the Ultimate Carnival Extravaganza will take the stage as the finale at 8 PM on November 10, lasting 110 hours. The overall event will continue until 10 AM on November 15.
