Xiaohongshu has officially announced that RED LAND 2026 will take place from October 2 to 6 at Fuxing Island in Shanghai's Yangpu District, marking the second consecutive year the event is held there.
This year's edition will bring together more than 100 well-known gaming and anime IPs, double the number from last year. Featured IPs include popular game titles such as Honor of Kings, Black Myth: Wukong, Genshin Impact, and Honkai: Star Rail, global pop culture IPs from Disney's Zootopia and Marvel, as well as premium overseas single-console and PC titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Additional IPs and partners will be announced in the coming weeks.
In terms of gameplay and experience, the event continues the "open-world adventure island" concept, expanding the exploration area to over 100,000 square meters. It will be divided into three zones: the Time-Space Port, the Rebirth Trial Ground, and the Golden Coastline, allowing various gaming and anime IPs to be presented in a unified island setting. Visitors can freely move between zones to explore and experience the content.
Xiaohongshu noted that RED LAND 2026 will debut a large-scale immersive interactive float parade for the gaming and anime community, featuring classic IP characters, NPCs, cosplayers, and creative floats. The Adventurer's Camp will host two stages鈥擠aylight and Moonlight鈥攚here meet-and-greets, fan concerts, interactive signings, and other activities will take place continuously, creating offline social spaces for interest circles including Cosplay, Original Characters, and virtual idols.
For the first time, the event will introduce a day-and-night convention model. When the night mode activates, the venue will feature limited-time activities, special interactions, and exclusive nighttime NPC content.
Regarding ticketing, player passes will be released in four rounds. The first round, a quiz-based channel, opened on August 12, offering a chance to earn a free pass by completing the challenge. In late August, a priority purchase channel for returning attendees from the inaugural event will open. Early bird tickets and standard passes will go on sale in late August and early September, respectively.
Last August, the first RED LAND was held on Fuxing Island, attracting nearly 300,000 participants to the free quiz-based ticketing system and thousands to the actual island event. Public data shows that as of 2025, Xiaohongshu's gaming-related monthly active users have surpassed 120 million, with annual gaming content posting volume growing 147%. The platform's "Anime and Manga Creation Trends Report" also indicates that the number of anime and manga enthusiasts on the platform has reached 137 million.
