According to a survey of business leaders, the New York Fed's business activity index for service firms in its district improved to -21.7 in November, up from -23.6 in the previous month.
The six-month business activity index declined to -4.6, compared to -3.4 previously.
The business climate index rose to -42.2, up from -42.9 in the prior month.
The employment index fell to -8.6%, down from -5.2.
The wage index decreased to 25.4, compared to 25.9 previously.
