CCB's Nantong Branch Fined 1.4 Million Yuan for Multiple Regulatory Breaches

China Construction Bank Corporation's Nantong branch has been penalized with a 1.4 million yuan fine for nine regulatory violations, according to a penalty notice issued by the Nantong branch of the People's Bank of China. The bank received a formal warning and public reprimand, in addition to having illegal gains of 13,561.27 yuan confiscated.

The violations include: 1. Non-compliance with financial statistical reporting requirements 2. Breaches of account management regulations 3. Failure to adhere to special merchant management rules 4. Violations of network security protocols 5. Non-compliance with anti-counterfeit currency operations 6. Breaches of RMB circulation management rules 7. Misappropriation of fiscal deposits or funds 8. Failure to conduct proper customer due diligence 9. Non-reporting of suspicious transactions as required

The penalty decision was issued on April 22, 2026, and will remain publicly disclosed for five years from the announcement date.
