Jilin City has introduced an "AI Digital Human Job Hosting" livestream, which has posted over 32,000 job openings over more than 100 days, attracting nearly 75,000 viewers. By combining AI digital hosts with human anchors, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers.
Known as the "Chemical City" and a major tourism hub, Jilin City is an old industrial base undergoing rapid transformation. The region's industrial upgrades and booming tourism sector have driven strong demand for talent and labor.
The Jilin City Employment Service Bureau notes that traditional livestreaming recruitment faced issues like limited time slots, insufficient coverage, and delayed updates. Now, leveraging digital technology, the bureau has built a cloud-based recruitment system that operates across multiple time slots with high precision and broad reach. Staff members also livestream job fairs simultaneously.
According to the bureau, its official new media accounts feature human anchors on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, focusing on targeted matching, policy interpretation, and career guidance for key groups. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons, AI digital hosts take over, continuously broadcasting job information. On Saturday and Sunday evenings, a joint livestream combines AI digital hosts with human anchors, blending efficient broadcasting with professional Q&A. This ensures full-time recruitment services from Monday to Sunday.
"Scrolling on my phone, I saw job postings. The AI host explained clearly, and I could apply directly," said job seeker Li Lan. She found a position at a local tourism company through the AI digital host and has already started her internship. "This format is straightforward and saves screening time."
Shi Hui, head of the Career Introduction and Guidance Section at the Jilin City Employment Service Bureau, explained that AI digital hosts focus on information broadcasting and process education, boosting recruitment efficiency. Human anchors, meanwhile, provide personalized services, offering professional career guidance to help job seekers clarify their thinking, avoid risks, and improve their success rate.
