On November 24, Midea Group and BYD officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the "Human-Vehicle-Home Smart Ecosystem" at BYD's global headquarters in Shenzhen. The two companies will integrate their core strengths in smart vehicles, smart homes, AIoT technology, and user ecosystems to break the physical boundaries between vehicles and homes, jointly creating an intelligent "Human-Vehicle-Home" ecosystem.
Key executives from both companies attended the signing ceremony, including Midea Group Chairman and President Fang Hongbo, Vice President and Head of the Smart Home Business Group Zhao Lei, and General Manager of China Smart Home Business Group Shang Zhe. Representing BYD were Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu, Senior Vice President and Dean of the Automotive New Technology Research Institute Yang Dongsheng, and Vice President and Director of the President's Office Li Wei.
Under the agreement, BYD's full range of vehicle models will collaborate with Midea's brands, including Midea, COLMO, Little Swan, Hualing, and Toshiba, to gradually integrate smart appliances, smart home devices, and IoT vehicle products. The partnership aims to achieve seamless connectivity, with a focus on AI agent-level innovation, standardizing technical interfaces and data protocols, and exploring data interoperability and coordinated decision-making between smart vehicles and home environments. Both parties will jointly establish standards for the "Human-Vehicle-Home" ecosystem and promote them as industry benchmarks.
Following the signing ceremony, a vehicle handover event took place, where BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu personally delivered a Yangwang vehicle to Midea Chairman Fang Hongbo. This symbolic gesture highlights the mutual trust and collaboration between the two Chinese tech giants as they advance in high-end and intelligent development.
