At the AMD AI Developer Day held today, AMD's Chair and CEO Lisa Su discussed the advancements in artificial intelligence, noting that the progress in AI is remarkable. It is anticipated that over the next five years, five billion people will use AI daily. The most critical factor enabling such a massive number of active AI users is the availability of suitable applications.
According to Lisa Su, no single application or workflow can meet this demand. A variety of models and workflows are necessary to leverage AI in transforming every aspect of life and business interactions. "I have worked in the technology industry for over 30 years, but there has never been a more exciting time than today. What is happening is truly extraordinary," she stated.
Lisa Su observed that AI has accelerated significantly in recent months. Not only have large language models advanced, but reasoning AI has also become more widespread. Companies are actively discussing how to utilize AI. "I can tell you that every CEO in every country, whether from large, medium, or small enterprises, is talking about how to use AI to more effectively impact their business," she emphasized.
Additionally, she pointed out that AI is now operating ubiquitously across the entire ecosystem, from large-scale cloud systems to personal computers, edge devices, and even physical systems and robots.
