Cathay Pacific (293) Announces Completion of Off-Market Share Buy-Back

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (293) announced that completion of its Share Buy-Back occurred on 24 February 2026, in accordance with the Buy-back Deed executed with Qatar Airways after the Extraordinary General Meeting on 12 February 2026. The repurchased shares will be held as treasury shares.

Before completion, the total number of issued shares was approximately 6.72 billion. Following completion, the total outstanding shares (excluding treasury shares) stood at around 6.08 billion. Qatar Airways, which originally held about 0.64 billion shares (9.56%), now holds no shares. Swire Pacific’s shareholding increased from about 2.90 billion (43.08%) to 47.64%, Air China’s shareholding rose from about 1.82 billion (27.10%) to 29.97%, and other independent shareholders increased their combined share from about 1.36 billion (20.25%) to 22.40%. HSBC Life (International) Limited remained at around 0.02 million shares.
