Brain-computer interface (BCI) concept stocks surged before noon. As of press time, NANJING PANDA (00553) rose 4.16% to HK$4.51, MICROPORT NEURO (02172) gained 4.24% to HK$10.83, and BRAINAURORA-B (06681) climbed 2.58% to HK$5.96.
The rally followed a BCI medical device advancement meeting held by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in Beijing on December 18. The meeting emphasized implementing the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and recognizing BCI's strategic significance as a future-oriented industry. Key priorities include: 1. Prioritizing safety and efficacy while innovating regulatory review methods and establishing industry standards. 2. Strengthening cross-departmental collaboration with academia, research institutions, and medical sectors to address core technical challenges and optimize supply chains. 3.
