Brain-computer interface (BCI) concept stocks surged before noon. As of press time, NANJING PANDA (00553) rose 4.16% to HK$4.51, MICROPORT NEURO (02172) gained 4.24% to HK$10.83, and BRAINAURORA-B (06681) climbed 2.58% to HK$5.96.

The rally followed a BCI medical device advancement meeting held by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in Beijing on December 18. The meeting emphasized implementing the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and recognizing BCI's strategic significance as a future-oriented industry. Key priorities include: 1. Prioritizing safety and efficacy while innovating regulatory review methods and establishing industry standards. 2. Strengthening cross-departmental collaboration with academia, research institutions, and medical sectors to address core technical challenges and optimize supply chains. 3. Encouraging corporate responsibility to enhance product reliability and competitiveness, accelerating BCI applications for clinical benefits.

Analysts highlight that technological breakthroughs, policy support, and capital inflows may drive significant growth opportunities for the BCI sector, with expanding demand expected in healthcare and consumer markets.
