HANFORT DEV H Issues Profit Alert, Expects Interim Net Profit of Approximately HK$2.9 Million, Reversing Year-On-Year Loss

Stock News08-24

HANFORT DEV H (00361) has announced a positive profit alert, revealing expectations of a significant turnaround in its financial performance for the six months ending June 30, 2026.

The company projects revenue of approximately HK$148 million for the period, a substantial increase from the HK$89 million reported during the corresponding period in the prior year. Additionally, the group anticipates recording a profit after tax of around HK$2.9 million, a stark contrast to the HK$14.6 million loss suffered in the same timeframe last year.

Where the improvement stems from

The board attributes this expected return to profitability primarily to a substantial rise in revenue during the period, which drove a gross profit increase of approximately HK$17.6 million. This growth was largely fueled by the golf equipment segment, which saw a notable uptick in sales.

Key drivers behind the rebound

The company explained that this segment's recovery is chiefly due to the more favorable tariff rates applied to goods exported from Vietnam to the United States, compared with those originating from China. This tariff advantage has helped restore client confidence, enabling the group to regain orders that customers had shifted to other suppliers in the previous year.

Looking ahead, this momentum suggests the company is well-positioned to capitalize on its strategic production base in Vietnam, which continues to offer competitive advantages in the current trade environment.
