Provincial Gold Quality Inspection Center Established in Fanshi to Boost High-Quality Development of Regional Specialty Industry

The Shanxi Provincial Gold Ore Product Quality Inspection Center was recently inaugurated in Fanshi County, marking a critical step in the county's efforts to upgrade its gold industry and enhance technical service systems. This move is expected to inject strong momentum into the standardized development of regional specialty industries.

As part of China's second batch of county-level pilot programs for integrating food safety inspection resources, the Fanshi Comprehensive Inspection Center has developed multi-sector testing capabilities over the years. The center holds multiple authoritative certifications, including the China Metrology Accreditation (CMA) and the Agricultural Product Quality Safety Testing Institution Qualification (CATL). Its services span food, agricultural products, mineral products, agricultural production environments, and statutory measuring instruments.

Specifically tailored to the gold mining industry—one of Fanshi’s pillar industries—the center can test 116 parameters across six major product categories, covering 90% of gold ore quality indicators. This enables comprehensive quality inspections throughout the entire production chain, from mining to deep processing.

The newly established provincial gold inspection center will leverage the technical expertise and resources of the existing comprehensive inspection platform to focus on core aspects of gold ore products. It aims to provide precise, efficient, and authoritative testing services. By standardizing inspection procedures and offering professional technical support, the center will help enterprises improve product quality management, regulate market operations, and provide scientific data for government regulators in policymaking—further strengthening the technological foundation for high-quality gold industry development in Fanshi.
