China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (600115.SH) has released its annual report for 2025. Throughout the year, the company safely accumulated 2.7462 million flight hours and operated 1.0504 million flights, representing year-on-year increases of 5.12% and 2.05%, respectively. The total traffic turnover reached 27.981 billion ton-kilometers, and the number of passengers carried hit 150 million, growing by 10.82% and 6.67% compared to the previous year. The company achieved an operating revenue of 139.941 billion yuan, marking a 5.92% increase year-on-year. A total profit of 274 million yuan was realized, indicating a turnaround to profitability.

In 2025, the company's operating costs amounted to 132.655 billion yuan, up 4.87% from the prior year. This increase was primarily due to higher transportation output, which led to a corresponding rise in operating expenses. Aircraft fuel costs for the year totaled 43.69 billion yuan, a decrease of 3.98% year-on-year. This reduction was mainly attributed to an increase in flight volume and hours flown, which resulted in a 4.60% growth in fuel consumption and an associated increase in fuel costs of 2.094 billion yuan. However, a decline in crude oil prices led to an 8.20% drop in the average aviation fuel price, reducing fuel costs by 3.903 billion yuan.
