Premium Moutai Surges Past 2500 Yuan Mark, While Wuliangye's Eighth Generation Sees Minor Decline

Deep News08-14

Data from Sina Finance's "Liquor Price Insider" over the past 24 hours shows that among 11 major baijiu products on August 14, nine saw price increases and two experienced declines, with the winning side dominating. The overall retail price of these 11 products remained at its highest level in over four months, supported by strong gains in leading liquor brands, while temporary dips in some mid-range products did not disrupt the upward trend.

On the upside, Feitian Moutai edged up 1 yuan to 1,788 yuan, maintaining a stable yet high-level fluctuation. Kweichow Moutai Co.,Ltd.'s Premium Moutai surged 50 yuan per bottle, bringing its average retail price to 2,510 yuan. This marks an eighth consecutive gain, successfully breaking through the 2,500 yuan threshold, with a cumulative increase of over 100 yuan in eight days, setting a new one-month high. Wuliangye 1618 rose 5 yuan to 834 yuan, steadily climbing to its highest level in a month. Qinghua Fen 20 increased 2 yuan to 392 yuan, returning to a recent high. Guojiao 1573 gained 10 yuan to 885 yuan, ending a prior period of sharp corrections. Yanghe's Dream Blue M6+ added 2 yuan to 599 yuan, with prices oscillating in a range. Gujing Gongjiu's Gu 20 rose 5 yuan to 544 yuan, marking five consecutive gains and reaching a one-month high. Xijiu's Junpin climbed 3 yuan to 640 yuan, still consolidating in its range. Qinghua Lang increased 5 yuan to an average retail price of 699 yuan, ending a four-day losing streak and signaling a recovery.

On the downside, Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd.'s Wuliangye Puwu Eighth Generation fell 4 yuan to 805 yuan, pausing its recent upward trend. Shuijingjian Nanchun dropped 1 yuan to 404 yuan, still near a one-month high. If all 11 products were sold as a single package, the total price would be 10,100 yuan, a sharp increase of 78 yuan from the previous day, marking the third consecutive day hitting a new high since late March.

The "Liquor Price Insider" data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points across major regions, including designated distributors, social distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw data reflects actual transaction retail prices over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and traceable market price information for major baijiu products. With the launch of the official iMoutai platform on New Year's Day, selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle (adjusted to 1,539 yuan on March 31, and further to 1,639 yuan on July 18), and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle (adjusted to 2,359 yuan on May 16), this new channel's magnetic influence on the retail prices of these two products is becoming apparent. The "Liquor Price Insider" daily prices follow a volume-weighted calculation rule, and we have incorporated these measurable prices into the final retail price calculations for both products.

In significant baijiu industry news from August 13, some Moutai distributors have raised their agent-sale prices for 53-degree 500ml Premium Moutai to 2,410 yuan per bottle, which is higher than the iMoutai platform's retail price of 2,359 yuan. According to channel sources, distributors can set prices for agent-sold non-standard Moutai products based on market conditions, without strictly aligning with the iMoutai platform. Meanwhile, some physical stores' offline retail prices for Feitian Moutai are also higher than the online platform's guidance, with prices at 1,820 yuan per bottle compared to the iMoutai price of 1,639 yuan. Data shows that the Moutai agent-sale mechanism applies to non-standard Moutai products, where inventory ownership belongs to Kweichow Moutai, and distributors do not need to prepay full payment. They can sell by paying a deposit and earn a fixed commission.
