On December 25th, Bilibili announced the "Radio Host Support Program," inviting radio hosts from major stations to join its platform.
Bilibili will invest billions of views in initial traffic support, facilitate collaborations with跨界 celebrities, and provide video production assistance and operational support to foster the creation of content like video podcasts and music radio shows, aiming to ensure the voices and musical spaces that accompanied the growth of several generations never fade away.
Concurrently with the program's launch, a group of hosts from various local broadcasting systems have announced their arrival on Bilibili.
These include Lian Yipeng, host of Chongqing Private Car Radio and the music podcast "Yi Ting Jiu Ai"; Xiao Chu, a host from Shanghai Radio Station; Xiao Xin, a host from Chutian Music Radio; Bo Haifeng, a host from Chongqing Music Radio; An Qi, a host from Changchun Radio Station; Qi Gege, a host from Chongqing Music Radio; Chris, a host from Shanghai Radio's Dynamic 101; and Han Zi, a music host from Zhejiang Radio Station, all of whom have joined and plan to develop content such as music radio shows.
Over the past year, music radio content on Bilibili has experienced rapid growth, with average daily consumption time increasing by over 60% year-on-year and the number of creators rising by nearly 50%, leading to the emergence of numerous high-quality UP主s.
Examples include HOPICO, a 2024 Top 100 UP主 with 2.83 million followers and over 210 million plays, and the UP主 CreSound, who gained more than 300,000 followers in one year, accumulating 47 million plays.
Previously, the announcement that the well-known radio program HIT FM would cease broadcasting sparked collective regret among netizens.
However, according to relevant sources, Bilibili has been in contact with former members of HIT FM to discuss potential collaborations.
Furthermore, announcements from various local broadcasting systems indicate that since 2023, over 100 radio frequencies nationwide have been publicly announced as shut down, with many radio channels that grew up with generations having been closed or merged due to operational pressures.
