Design software manufacturer Autodesk announced on Thursday that it will reduce its global workforce by approximately 7%, a move impacting around 1,000 employees, with the primary focus of the layoffs being personnel in customer-facing sales departments. Influenced by this news, the company's stock price rose nearly 4% in early trading. Autodesk stated that as of January 31, 2025, its total global workforce is approximately 15,300 employees, and this restructuring plan is expected to be completed by the end of the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2027.
