Former President Trump Announces Apple's Partnership with Intel for US Chip Production

Deep News06-18 13:31

Former US President Donald Trump stated in a post on Truth Social on Thursday that Apple has agreed to collaborate with Intel to design and manufacture its chips within the United States.

Reports last month indicated that, following over a year of discussions, Intel had reached a preliminary agreement to produce a portion of the chips for Apple.

This arrangement with Intel aids Apple in diversifying its manufacturing base as it seeks additional chip production capacity. Currently, Apple is heavily reliant on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), whose advanced process production lines are being heavily utilized by AI chip manufacturers such as NVIDIA and AMD.
