On April 30, financial authorities disclosed that the People's Bank of China's Datong City Branch imposed penalties on Zuo Yun Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd. of Shanxi Province. The bank was found to have violated financial statistical management regulations, account business management rules, and credit information business requirements. As a result, it received a formal warning and was fined 856,700 yuan.
In addition, Liu Zhiqiang, the interim head of the bank's credit management department, and Xu Li, a staff member of the same department, were each fined 11,000 yuan for breaches of credit information management regulations.
