Honor's Launch Event Stunts: Drilling Phone Screens and Using Foldable for Pull-Ups

Deep News03-10 20:40

On the evening of March 10, Honor unveiled its latest foldable smartphone, the Honor Magic V6, at a new product launch event. The device weighs as little as 219g and measures just 8.75mm in thickness.

According to official data, the Honor Magic V6 features a new Black Diamond Screen, with each panel coated with 5,600 layers of silicon nitride for inherent wear resistance—capable of withstanding the force of an electric drill. It also incorporates a next-generation Honor Shield Steel frame, crafted using aerospace-grade forging techniques. With a strength of 2,800 MPa, it far exceeds the robustness of a car's A-pillar, ensuring exceptional durability and stability.

To demonstrate the product's resilience, an Honor product manager performed live demonstrations at the event, including grinding the screen with an electric drill and using the Magic V6 to perform pull-ups, showcasing the device's ability to support a person's full body weight.
