The latest announcement from the National Development and Reform Commission confirms that starting at 24:00 on August 28, the retail prices for domestic gasoline and diesel (standard products) will increase by 375 yuan and 360 yuan per tonne, respectively.
Since the previous adjustment on August 14, international crude oil prices have shown a fluctuating trend in the global market. The average price over the 10 working days preceding this adjustment was higher than the average recorded in the 10 working days before the last price change, triggering this upward revision in line with global oil price movements.
Following the confirmation of this round of refined oil product price increases, a typical private car filling up a full 50-litre tank with 92-octane gasoline will incur an additional cost of 14.5 yuan. The maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel across various provinces, autonomous regions, and central cities have also been updated accordingly.
