China Quality News Network reports that the Shuangyashan Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau in Heilongjiang Province has recently issued a reminder and warning regarding the mandatory implementation of CCC certification for electric vehicle charging piles.
The notice is directed at all production, sales, and operational entities involved with electric vehicle charging piles. According to the State Administration for Market Regulation's Announcement No. 50 of 2024, starting from August 1, 2026, electric vehicle power supply equipment (charging piles) will be formally subject to mandatory product certification (CCC) management.
After August 1, 2026, electric vehicle power supply equipment that has not obtained CCC certification will be strictly prohibited from being manufactured, sold, imported, or used in any commercial activities. For equipment that was already in operation before August 1, 2026, operators must strictly comply with the relevant provisions of the Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China and the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, ensuring that the goods or services they provide meet the requirements for protecting personal and property safety.
In this warning, the relevant business entities are cautioned to strictly implement the primary responsibility for product quality, rigorously adhere to the CCC certification system, and eliminate illegal activities such as manufacturing and selling products without certification or misusing the CCC certification mark. The Shuangyashan Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau will continue to intensify its supervision and inspection of electric vehicle power supply equipment, severely crack down on all types of illegal and non-compliant acts, strengthen the safety baseline, and actively foster a consumption environment where the public feels confident in their purchases and safe in their use.
