On August 28, 2026, Beihang University welcomed its incoming undergraduate class of 2026. This year, a total of 4,168 undergraduate newcomers and 139 international undergraduate students have arrived in Beijing to begin their new chapter at the university. Additionally, 773 undergraduate students will report to Beihang's Hangzhou International Campus on August 30.

Beihang's "Smart Campus" initiative has launched an "Orientation One-Stop Service" this year, consolidating all registration procedures into a single, clear task checklist that allows students to confirm each item upon completion, making enrollment preparations more organized and stress-free. The one-stop intelligent orientation platform, named "AI Navigator," integrates multiple AI applications to offer distinctive features such as "Knowledge Q&A," "Cloud Group Photo," and "Virtual Campus Tour," helping new students learn about, familiarize themselves with, and integrate into campus life more quickly. The "Knowledge Q&A" function provides immediate responses to questions about registration and daily campus life, the "Cloud Group Photo" captures memorable entrance moments, and the "Virtual Campus Tour" enables students to explore their new environment and plan routes in advance. Through digital orientation, services are delivered to students even before they set foot on campus.

This year's orientation at Beihang has implemented a meticulous deployment strategy with a "one campus, one plan" approach and "sunny and rainy dual preparedness." Relying on the digital orientation platform, the university has facilitated convenient processing through the "Orientation One-Stop Service." Efficiency has been enhanced through centralized pickup at train stations, streamlined campus entry procedures, and the establishment of one-stop on-site service counters. At the same time, the university has maintained a strong focus on humanistic care by opening campus facilities, optimizing dining services, and setting up rest areas for parents. Additional thoughtful measures include a green channel care package for students in need, special birthday greetings for newcomers celebrating during this period, and one-on-one volunteer assistance. Multiple university departments are working in close coordination to ensure that services are delivered with both speed and warmth, fully guaranteeing a smooth and orderly orientation process.

Furthermore, Beihang has simultaneously launched a "Leading Growth" orientation class for parents of new students, building a communication bridge between home and university while deepening the effectiveness of collaborative education between families and the institution. On the day of orientation, university leaders including Party Secretary Zhao Changlu and President Wang Yunpeng visited the orientation site and freshman dormitories, engaging in conversations with Class of 2026 students and their parents. They also presented birthday gift vouchers to students celebrating their birthdays that day and distributed warm care packages to those who had applied for the "Green Channel" financial assistance program.
