The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index surged to its highest level for the session after the Federal Reserve held its policy rate steady and removed language suggesting a bias toward easing, with nine out of the 18 FOMC members forecasting an interest rate increase in 2026.
The index advanced by as much as 0.3% at one point, while most G10 currencies declined for the day, with the Japanese yen largely unchanged.
