Shanghai Adjusts Fuel Prices Downward Starting Today

Retail fuel prices in Shanghai have been reduced, effective from midnight on July 4th.

The price for 92-octane gasoline has been lowered to 7.14 yuan per liter, while 95-octane gasoline is now priced at 7.60 yuan per liter. The price for 0-grade diesel has been adjusted to 6.80 yuan per liter.

For a typical family car with a 50-liter fuel tank, the cost to fill up with 92-octane gasoline will now be approximately 38 yuan less.

It is noted that the price for 98-octane gasoline is determined independently by fuel retailers.

The listed prices for gasoline and diesel conform to the mandatory National Standard Phase VI B for gasoline and Phase VI for diesel.
