At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show opening on April 24, NIO founder and chairman Li Bin spoke with media following the company's press conference.
When asked about NIO's current product update cadence, Li Bin stated that from a corporate perspective, every automaker dreams of achieving what Tesla has accomplished—maintaining a single model for years without changes while dominating the market. However, he emphasized the importance of meeting user needs, noting that the current pace is appropriate. Li Bin explained that models like the ES8 and L90 are designed to fulfill the requirements of different customer segments.
