On the afternoon of November 26, a severe fire broke out at Hong Fuk Court in Tai Po, Hong Kong, resulting in significant casualties and deeply affecting the community. In response, local and mainland enterprises, associations, and citizens swiftly mobilized to provide aid through donations, supplies, and volunteer services, offering strong support to the affected residents.
According to preliminary estimates, over 100 companies and foundations contributed between November 27 and 28, providing emergency relief, transitional housing, and post-disaster community recovery efforts, with total donations exceeding HKD 1.2 billion. Notably, several A-listed companies, including SF Holding, CATL, Luxshare Precision Industry Co., Ltd., and BYD, each donated over HKD 10 million to assist Tai Po.
In a remarkable gesture, after Luxshare Precision donated HKD 10 million in the company’s name, its Chairwoman Wang Laichun personally contributed an additional HKD 10 million to the "Hong Fuk Court Tai Po Relief Fund" established by the Hong Kong government.
The collective efforts reflect solidarity in adversity, with society uniting to support affected residents and restore normalcy as swiftly as possible. Together, we stand stronger.
