周一美股收盘后，AMC院线公布了2021年第二季度财报。因营收及净亏损好于预期，该股在盘后交易中一度涨逾9%。
财报显示，公司第二季度营收4.45亿美元，市场预期为3.82亿美元，去年同期为1900万美元；第二季度净亏损为3.44亿美元，每股净亏损为0.71美元，市场预期为0.94美元；截至第二季度末，公司共持有18.11亿美元现金；该公司还表示，计划在年底前开始接受比特币支付。
AMC院线二季度美国市场的上座数为1780.1万人，国际市场的上座数为426.7万人，综合上座数为2206.8万人。美国市场平均票价为10.9美元，国际市场平均票价为9.12美元，综合平均票价为10.56美元。美国市场上平均每位观影者在食物及饮料上的消费为7.91美元，国际市场上平均每位观影者在食物及饮料上的消费为4.85美元，综合平均每位观影者在食物及饮料上的消费为7.32美元。
截至2021年6月30日，AMC经营着全美593家国内影院，以及335家国际影院，占其国际影院的95%。公司表示，其大部分国际影院在第二季度的前两个月暂停营业，直到6月初才重新开业。
AMC主席兼首席执行官Adam Aron表示：“2021年第二季度对AMC来说是转型期，我们本季度又筹集了12.5亿美元的新股本(未计入佣金和费用)，使我们的季度末流动资金超过20亿美元(包括现金和未提取的循环信贷额度)，这大约是公司100多年历史上此类最高纪录的两倍。”
