Specialty Agricultural Products Enjoy Bumper Harvest, Boosting Comprehensive Rural Revitalization

Deep News10-27 21:00

In the golden autumn season, specialty agricultural products such as fruits and melons have entered their harvest period.

Many regions are leveraging the advantages of large-scale planting, strengthening brand building, and expanding both domestic and international markets to help farmers increase their incomes and achieve prosperity, thereby supporting comprehensive rural revitalization.

Autumn breezes sweep across the branches, filling the air with the fragrance of fruit.

In Pinghe County, Fujian Province, more than 700,000 mu of honey pomelos are being harvested in a concentrated manner.

This year, the local area has advanced the level of mechanization and intelligentization at every stage, with drones frequently shuttling back and forth through mountainous forests to improve picking efficiency.

The newly built honey pomelo storage and sorting center quickly grades and packages the fruit, and seven nationwide direct logistics routes allow pomelos to be collected locally and reduce transshipment.

It is expected that the total output value of the entire industry chain will exceed 20 billion yuan this year.

Currently, fresh Dangshan pears from Anhui Province are selling briskly.

This year, the local area has also attracted investment to add several new pear product processing enterprises, expanding categories such as dried fruit snacks, health beverages, and cosmetics, with freshly processed pears converted on-site accounting for more than half of the total output.

In Tongnan, Chongqing, measures such as shortening customs clearance and inspection times and using China-Europe freight train transportation are being adopted to seize timeliness and ensure quality.

The number of countries and regions importing the harvested yellow lemons has expanded from 26 last year to 34 this year.

The vineyards in Laixi, Shandong Province, are filled with the joy of harvest.

This year, some local villages have established trading companies through village collectives, reducing intermediary agency links and leaving more export profits with the growers.

Formerly barren land is now becoming a new treasure trove for prosperity.

In Wushi, Xinjiang, sea buckthorn berries hang heavily on the branches.

Through techniques such as building micro-reservoirs and installing infiltration irrigation pipe networks, the survival rate of sea buckthorn on the Gobi Desert is continuously improving.

Today, the sea buckthorn planting area exceeds 180,000 mu, and the industry chain can drive more than 1,500 people to find employment nearby.

In Wenshan, Yunnan Province, formerly rocky desertified barren mountains are now lush with greenery, and everyone is busy harvesting cactus.

This ecological governance measure is becoming a distinctive rural industry for prosperity.
