A recent forecast for the first half of 2026 from Suzhou Tfc Optical Communication Co.,Ltd. has drawn attention to its co-founder and chairman, Zou Zhinong, who started his career in a rural village and now holds the title of Yichun's richest person.
According to business records, Mr. Zou Zhinong was born in April 1968 in Longxi Village, Shinao Town, Gao'an City (formerly Gao'an County), Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. He is 58 years old. He graduated from Jilin University of Technology with a bachelor's degree in mechanical design and manufacturing.
After graduating in 1991, Zou was assigned to work at the Jilin Province Siping City Blower Factory, where he served as an engineer in the technical department and later as an engineer in the computer department. Amid the entrepreneurial wave of the 1990s, in July 1995, he founded Siping Dazhong Computer Co., Ltd. and served as its general manager.
In 2001, Zou moved to Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, with his wife, Yang Ou, and worked as a technical manager at Suzhou Haoyi Digital Network Co., Ltd. In 2004, he founded Suzhou Industrial Park Mingzhan Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. and served as its general manager.
In July 2005, Zou, his wife Yang Ou, and Zhu Guodong jointly established the predecessor of Suzhou Tfc Optical Communication Co., Ltd., Suzhou Tianfu Precision Ceramics Co., Ltd. The company was restructured into a joint-stock company in 2011 and renamed Suzhou Tfc Optical Communication Co., Ltd. Zou served as chairman, general manager, and chief engineer from 2005 to January 2018. Since January 2018, he has served as the company's chairman and chief engineer, holding the chairman position for 21 years.
Notably, the Zou family now controls nearly 38% of the company's equity. However, only Zou and his wife currently hold key positions within the company, serving as chairman and general manager, respectively. Their two children are not employed at Suzhou Tfc Optical Communication Co., Ltd.
Public records show that the Zou family, with a wealth of 66.5 billion yuan, ranked 80th on the 2025 Hurun Rich List. With a fortune of 58 billion yuan, they also secured 489th place on the 2026 Hurun Global Rich List, solidifying Zou's status as the wealthiest person in Yichun, Jiangxi Province.
According to quarterly data, Suzhou Tfc Optical Communication Co., Ltd. reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of 1.330 billion yuan, a year-over-year increase of 40.82%. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached 492 million yuan, up 45.79% year-over-year, while non-GAAP net profit rose 48.44%.
