Bulletin Express10-15 17:42

Huaneng Power International, Inc. has completed the issuance of its eleventh tranche of 2026 mid-term notes, raising RMB2.00 billion through the domestic interbank bond market. The notes carry a five-year tenor and a fixed annual coupon of 1.58% with a face value of RMB100 per note.

The transaction falls under the RMB170.00 billion aggregate debt mandate approved at the company’s 2025 annual general meeting, which authorises domestic and overseas debt issuances—single or multiple tranches—through to the conclusion of the 2026 annual general meeting.

China Everbright Bank Co., Ltd. and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd. acted as joint lead underwriters, forming a syndicate that placed the securities via book-building.

Proceeds are designated to bolster working capital, optimise the debt structure, and refinance existing bank borrowings and upcoming maturities.

Huaneng Power confirmed that the issuance does not constitute a notifiable or connected transaction under Chapters 14 or 14A of the Hong Kong Listing Rules. Documentation related to the notes is available on the China Money and Shanghai Clearing House websites.

The announcement was authorised by the company’s board and released on 16 October 2026 in Beijing.
