Philippine Peso Hits Worst Drop Since May Fueled by Climbing Oil Prices

The Philippine peso fell 0.9%, marking its largest decline since May 11, as renewed uncertainty over the Strait of Hormuz agreement drove oil prices higher.

The dollar/peso pair rose to an intraday high of 61.24. Nearly all of the Philippines' oil demand is met through imports.
